List Of Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles Players

Over 500 rugby league footballers have played for the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles since their introduction to the New South Wales Rugby Football League premiership for the 1947 season. Player numbers have been allocated based on a review of Club Records and according to the following conventions:

  • 1947: First ever captain was allocated No. 1. The other 12 players from the first ever Manly first grade team were allocated numbers 2 to 13 in alphabetical order. All other players making their debut during the 1947 season were allocated the next available number in alphabetical order.
  • 1948 – 1999: In each season, all players making their debut during that season were allocated the next available number in alphabetical order.
  • 2000 – 2001: Players who debuted for the Northern Eagles in 2000 or 2001 AND played for Manly in 2002 were allocated the next available number in alphabetical order in each season 2000 and 2001. Players who debuted for the Northern Eagles, but did not play for Manly in 2002 were not allocated a number.
  • 2002 – 2008: Players are allocated the next available number based on the order of the actual game in which they made their debut.

If multiple players made their debut in the same game, the numbers have been allocated alphabetically.

Famous quotes containing the words list of, list, sea and/or players:

A man’s interest in a single bluebird is worth more than a complete but dry list of the fauna and flora of a town.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

    All is possible,
    Who so list believe;
Trust therefore first, and after preve,
As men wed ladies by license and leave,
    All is possible.
    Sir Thomas Wyatt (1503?–1542)

Until We met the Solid Town—
No One He seemed to know—
    And bowing—with a Mighty look—
    At me—The Sea withdrew—
    Emily Dickinson (1830–1886)

I do not like football, which I think of as a game in which two tractors approach each other from opposite directions and collide. Besides, I have contempt for a game in which players have to wear so much equipment. Men play basketball in their underwear, which seems just right to me.
    Anna Quindlen (b. 1952)
