List Of Long March Launches

The following lists detail all of the recorded launches of the Long March series of carrier rockets. The criteria for inclusion are having an accomplished ignition and liftoff and the surpassing of the Kármán line in maximum altitude. Notably absent from these lists is the 22 March 1992 launch of the Long March 2E launch vehicle carrying the Australian Optus B1 satellite, wherein the rocket was ignited at first but automatically shut down almost immediately after. Although it did not constitute a launch, some records do still include this launch attempt as an official launch. Launches made with the related Feng Bao 1 carrier rocket are not included. Unless otherwise indicated, much of the information presented here is taken from the following two sources: .

Famous quotes containing the words list of, list, long and/or march:

Every morning I woke in dread, waiting for the day nurse to go on her rounds and announce from the list of names in her hand whether or not I was for shock treatment, the new and fashionable means of quieting people and of making them realize that orders are to be obeyed and floors are to be polished without anyone protesting and faces are to be made to be fixed into smiles and weeping is a crime.
    Janet Frame (b. 1924)

My list of things I never pictured myself saying when I pictured myself as a parent has grown over the years.
    Polly Berrien Berends (20th century)

So long as the law considers all these human beings, with beating hearts and living affections, only as so many things belonging to the master—so long as the failure, or misfortune, or imprudence, or death of the kindest owner, may cause them any day to exchange a life of kind protection and indulgence for one of hopeless misery and toil—so long it is impossible to make anything beautiful or desirable in the best-regulated administration of slavery.
    Harriet Beecher Stowe (1811–1896)

On a late-winter evening in 1983, while driving through fog along the Maine coast, recollections of old campfires began to drift into the March mist, and I thought of the Abnaki Indians of the Algonquin tribe who dwelt near Bangor a thousand years ago.
    Norman Mailer (b. 1923)
