Servants
Disney Cast Members play somber house servants who staff the Mansion. They do not smile and often refer to guests as "bodies." In Ken Anderson's early concepts for the attraction, a butler named Beauregard would serve as tour guide to visitors of the house. In the final attraction, the role of tour guide went to the invisible Ghost Host. The 2003 film features three ghostly house servants: Ramsley the butler (Terence Stamp), Ezra the footman (Wallace Shawn), and Emma the maid (Dina Waters).

Famous quotes containing the word servants:
“The best servants of the people, like the best valets, must whisper unpleasant truths in the masters ear. It is the court fool, not the foolish courtier, whom the king can least afford to lose.”
—Walter Lippmann (18891974)
“The prosecution of [Warren] Hastings, though he should escape at last, must have good effect. It will alarm the servants of the Company in India, that they may not always plunder with impunity, but that there may be a retrospect; and it will show them that even bribes of diamonds to the Crown may not secure them from prosecution.”
—Horace Walpole (17171797)
“What is the reason that women servants ... have much lower wages than men servants ... when in fact our female house servants work much harder than the male?”
—Samuel Johnson (17091784)
