Past Roller Coasters
Ride | Last season | First season | Description |
---|---|---|---|
Wild Cat | 1945 | 1923 | Hersheypark's first roller coaster jointly owned between Hershey and Philadelphia Tobaggan Company. The station was located in Minetown and its turn around in what is now Trailblazer. |
Toboggan | 1977 | 1972 | A Chance Rides Toboggan coaster, this was an extremely compact steel coaster that went through a vertical lift hill. This ride was actually two Chance Toboggan coasters right next to each other, which were located where the Mini Himalaya is now. |
Roller Soaker | 2012 | 2002 | A Setpoint coaster, this was a water coaster where riders would go around on a track and try to dump water on the people below the ride. There were also water cannons on the ground for people to shoot up at the coaster car as it went by. Roller Soaker was located initially in the Midway America section of the park, then the Boardwalk section once the Boardwalk at Hersheypark was built. It became the fourth coaster removed in the history of the park (this includes the Mini Comet, a kiddie coaster, seen in the table below). |
