  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Usagi Yojimbo have had crossovers in virtually every medium either has appeared in.
  • Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer team up after Winterbolt, an evil snow wizard, tricks them into leaving the North Pole. (Rudolph and Frosty's Christmas in July)
  • The Grinch battles The Cat in the Hat (The Grinch Grinches the Cat in the Hat).
  • The Hanna-Barbera cartoon party of Yogi Bear, Boo-Boo Bear, Huckleberry Hound, Snagglepuss, Quick Draw McGraw, Augie Doggy and Doggy Daddy come to a strange old house to celebrate Christmas with Casper the Friendly Ghost. (Casper's First Christmas)
  • The multiple characters from Sesame Street and Fraggle Rock, and even Muppets creator Jim Henson himself, join in with Kermit the Frog, Gonzo, Miss Piggy and the whole Muppets gang to celebrate Christmas with them when they are visiting Fozzie Bear's grandma to join her in the festive holiday.   • Mickey Mouse meets The Muppets in the climax of the Muppet-starring Disney TV special The Muppets at Walt Disney World (1990).
  • The fact that the 1986 animated feature GoBots: Battle of the Rock Lords was nearly a crossover of GoBots and The Rock Lords is due to the fact that the Rock Lords were spun off into their own toy line, much later after the movie was released.
  • Ian and Matt from Mac Hall meet Piro and Largo from Megatokyo (both series)
  • A story arc in Dragon Ball involves Son Goku meeting Arale and the cast of Dr. Slump (Akira Toriyama's previous manga). The young Goku would appear in a later anime adaptation of Dr. Slump produced during the 1990s. Many Dragon Ball characters also appeared in Toriyama's later parody manga Neko Majin Z.
  • Characters from Battle of the Planets meet the ThunderCats (Battle of the Planets/ThunderCats, Top Cow).
  • Aliens, Predators, and Terminators fight each other (Aliens versus Predator versus The Terminator).
  • Mortadelo and Filemon meet Rompetechos, another character created and owned by Mortadelo and Filemon's author Francisco Ibanez. This has happened commonly, as they also meet other characters created and owned by other authors but published the same company, like Zipi y Zape and Superlópez.
  • David Letterman and Paul Schäfer once teamed up with the Avengers to face the Mechano-Marauder.
  • Spider-Man joined forces with the cast of Saturday Night Live in an issue of "Marvel Team-Up". Stan Lee made a cameo appearance in this story.
  • Raven Baxter appears in the Cory in the House episode, Mall of Confusion.
  • Characters from Family Guy fight characters of American Dad!. (American Dad vs. Family Guy online game)
  • In Looney Tunes: Back in Action (2003); The aliens, robots and monsters included the flying brains (from Fiend Without a Face (1958)), the Metaluna Mutant (from This Island Earth (1955)), a Triffid (from The Day of the Triffids (1962)), Robby the Robot (from Forbidden Planet (1956)), the Daleks (not from the television series Doctor Who, but from the Amicus Dr. Who/Dalek films instead), Dr. Miles J. Bennell with a Pod (from Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956)), the eponymous Robot Monster (from Robot Monster (1953)), various generic aliens and the eponymous alien visitor from The Man from Planet X (1951). Meanwhile, Matthew Lillard (making a brief cameo in said film) was last seen in a commissary scene, briefly talking to the animated Scooby-Doo and Shaggy about his performance in the live-action/CG animated Scooby-Doo film.
  • The Doctor, Ace and Bernice Summerfield meet Sherlock Holmes, Doctor Watson and then all of them do battle with H. P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos monsters. (Doctor Who: The New Adventures novel All-Consuming Fire (1994))
  • Author Dave Stone said that the Doctor Who: The Missing Adventures novel Burning Heart (1997) was originally planned to be a crossover with Judge Dredd, which was eventually later scrapped.
