  • Unlike Windows XP search, when searching with Windows Search, there is no indication on the status bar of the location it is searching
  • It is not possible to perform a case sensitive search using Windows Search.
  • Windows Search no longer searches an item's NTFS Alternate Data Stream unlike Windows XP's Search feature.
  • The Search Assistant is no longer available.
