"ESPN 980" (simulcast on WWXX-FM and WWXT-FM) is the Washington Redskins football flagship, Washington Wizards & Georgetown Hoyas basketball flagship, Maryland Terrapins and Virginia Cavaliers football & men's basketball coverage and Baltimore Orioles affiliate. The Tony Kornheiser Show in late mornings, John Thompson in early afternoons and The Sports Reporters with Steve Czaban and Andy Pollin in afternoons. "SportsTalk 570," launched on September 20, 2010, clears the entire ESPN Radio daytime schedule, and is the flagship for Steve Czaban's Sporting News Radio morning show. Also carries George Mason Patriots men's basketball and functions as a backup station in the case of any play-by-play schedule conflicts with "ESPN 980." |
