Empire Gallop was a 1,944 GRT cargo ship which was built by Deutsche Werft, Hamburg. Launched in 1944 as Fangturm for Hansa Line, Bremen. Seized in May 1945 at Kiel. To MoWT and renamed Empire Gallop. Sold in 1947 to the United Baltic Corporation, London and renamed Baltonia. Renamed Baltic Oak in 1953. Sold in 1957 to Bock, Godeffroy & Co, Germany and renamed Palmyra. Collided on 27 March 1962 with British Mariner 18 nautical miles (33 km) of Ushant, France and sank.
