Lynne Hobbs, played by Elaine Lordan, is the eldest daughter of Charlie Slater (Derek Martin). She arrives in Albert Square with the rest of her family. Lynne is in a relationship with Garry Hobbs (Ricky Groves) and she spends much of her time despairing over Garry's inability to fully commit to their relationship. Eventually Garry agrees to a marry Lynne, but on the eve of her wedding she has sex with Beppe di Marco (Michael Greco). The marriage goes ahead anyway, but it is not long before Lynne embarks on another affair.
