List Of Danzig Band Members

Danzig is an American rock band, formed in 1987 in Lodi, New Jersey. The band serves as a musical outlet for singer/composer Glenn Danzig (formerly of Misfits and Samhain), who is the only member to have been in every incarnation of the band since its formation.

The original lineup, consisting of Glenn Danzig (vocals), John Christ (guitar), Eerie Von (bass) and Chuck Biscuits (drums), spanned seven years and four albums. Danzig experienced its first lineup changed in 1994, when Biscuits was ultimately fired from the band due to royalty disagreements. After he was rejected upon asking to return, and - according to a special issue of Kerrang! magazine, former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl turned down an approach from them, he was replaced by Joey Castillo, who made his first public appearance as a member of Danzig at an in-store signing the day of the fourth album's release.

After promoting the fourth Danzig album, John Christ and Eerie Von both left the band in July 1995, leaving Glenn Danzig as the only remaining original member of the band. Many lineup changes happened since; guitarists included Dave Kushner, Jeff Chambers, Todd Youth, Joe Fraulob and Kenny Hickey, bassists included Josh Lazie, Rob "Blasko" Nicholson, Howie Pyro and Jerry Montano and drummers included Bevan Davies and Karl Rosqvist. The current Danzig line-up consists of Glenn Danzig on vocals, Tommy Victor on guitar, Steve Zing on bass and Johnny Kelly on drums.

Famous quotes containing the words list of, list, danzig, band and/or members:

Do your children view themselves as successes or failures? Are they being encouraged to be inquisitive or passive? Are they afraid to challenge authority and to question assumptions? Do they feel comfortable adapting to change? Are they easily discouraged if they cannot arrive at a solution to a problem? The answers to those questions will give you a better appraisal of their education than any list of courses, grades, or test scores.
    Lawrence Kutner (20th century)

A man’s interest in a single bluebird is worth more than a complete but dry list of the fauna and flora of a town.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

He’s leaving Germany by special request of the Nazi government. First he sends a dispatch about Danzig and how 10,000 German tourists are pouring into the city every day with butterfly nets in their hands and submachine guns in their knapsacks. They warn him right then. What does he do next? Goes to a reception at von Ribbentropf’s and keeps yelling for gefilte fish!
    Billy Wilder (b. 1906)

Nothing makes a man feel older than to hear a band coming up the street and not to have the impulse to rush downstairs and out on to the sidewalk.
    Robert Benchley (1889–1945)

... the theatre demanded of its members stamina, good digestion, the ability to adjust, and a strong sense of humor. There was no discomfort an actor didn’t learn to endure. To survive, we had to be horses and we were.
    Helen Hayes (1900–1993)
