Built from full carbon fiber composite materials, utilizing the vacuum infusion process and vinyl ester resin. This was the result of an intensive Research and Development program conducted by PT Lundin Industry Invest (North Sea Boats) and TNI-AL that commenced in 2007. The Indonesian Navy order four ships and the first ship of the class, named KRI Klewang 625 was launched on 31 August 2012. To be equipped with some C-705 AShM launchers. But on 28 September 2012, it sank after caught fire at noon at Banyuwangi Naval Base, cause total destruction of the new vessel. The cause still remains unknown.
