List of Confederation and Inter-confederation Club Competition Winners

The mass media have drawn up a list of confederation and inter-confederation club competition winners based on the set of competitions explicitly organised, each in its own context, by one of the six worldwide confederations, the administrative and controlling bodies for each continent, or directly by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA); ordered by an overall quantitative value in descending mode. However, FIFA do not employ a ranking system for clubs, and do not organise club competitions exception made of the World Cup, first contested in 2000. The Federation considers the clubs as independent organizations affiliated to their respective national associations. FIFA's role is initially limited to authorize the creation of international competitions for clubs with the only condition that these were organised by, at least, two confederations.

The world football's governing body defines in its statute an "official competition" any tournament for "representative teams"—any team representing a member—held by FIFA or by a football confederation.

Every morning I woke in dread, waiting for the day nurse to go on her rounds and announce from the list of names in her hand whether or not I was for shock treatment, the new and fashionable means of quieting people and of making them realize that orders are to be obeyed and floors are to be polished without anyone protesting and faces are to be made to be fixed into smiles and weeping is a crime.
    Janet Frame (b. 1924)

    Lovers, forget your love,
And list to the love of these,
    She a window flower,
    And he a winter breeze.
    Robert Frost (1874–1963)

The creation of “strong-minded” women, so-called, is due to the individualism of men, to the modern selfish and speculative spirit which absorbs everything within itself and leaves women nothing but self-assertion for their protection and support.
