Rivalries

• Cincinnati cross-town rivalry between the University of Cincinnati (public) and Xavier University (Catholic). The basketball rivalry between the Cincinnati Bearcats and the Xavier Musketeers (Muskies) is known as the Crosstown Shootout.
• Historically Black/Wilberforce cross-town rivalry between Ohio's two historically black universities, Central State University (public) and Wilberforce University (private), both located in the small town of Wilberforce, Ohio.
