The Carolina Panthers are a professional American football team based in Charlotte, North Carolina. They are members of the Southern Division of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). The Panthers franchise began play in the 1995 season, along with the Jacksonville Jaguars, as an expansion team. The team has played their home games at Bank of America Stadium since 1996. They have played in one Super Bowl, Super Bowl XXXVIII, but did not win.

There have been four head coaches for the Carolina Panthers. John Fox is the all-time leader in games coached (144), wins (73), and winning percentage (.507). He was the team's head coach from January 26, 2002, to December 31, 2010. George Seifert has the worst winning percentage (.333) of all Panthers coaches. The current head coach is Ron Rivera.
