This is a list of episodes for the Studio Pierrot anime series Blue Dragon, based on the video game of the same name (although it does not necessarily follow the video game's plot).
This episode list covers the Blue Dragon anime episodes to date. The anime was originally scheduled to run for 51 episodes, but was extended into a second season. Starting 31 March 2007, the second season Blue Dragon, titled Blue Dragon Tenkai no Shichiryū (BLUE DRAGON 天界の七竜, lit. Blue Dragon: The Seven Dragons of Heaven?), began airing on TV Tokyo.
Viz Media has dubbed the second season of Blue Dragon under the name "Blue Dragon: Trial of the Seven Shadows". As of May 3, 2010, Cartoon Network in Pakistan begun airing the second season (English dubbed) every weekday at 4:30 pm.
In 2011 Viz placed Blue Dragon and Blue Dragon: Trial of the Seven Shadows on vizanime.com and Hulu. The version available is the original Japanese version with English subs.
Famous quotes containing the words list of, list, blue, dragon and/or episodes:
“The advice of their elders to young men is very apt to be as unreal as a list of the hundred best books.”
—Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. (18411935)
“Lastly, his tomb
Shall list and founder in the troughs of grass
And none shall speak his name.”
—Karl Shapiro (b. 1913)
“At twelve, the disintegration of afternoon
Began, the return to phantomerei, if not
To phantoms. Till then, it had been the other way:
One imagined the violet trees but the trees stood green,
At twelve, as green as ever they would be.
The sky was blue beyond the vaultiest phrase.”
—Wallace Stevens (18791955)
“And then at last our bliss
Full and perfect is,
But now begins; for from this happy day
The old Dragon underground,
In straiter limits bound,
Not half so far casts his usurped sway,
And, wroth to see his kingdom fail,
Swinges the scaly horror of his folded tail.”
—John Milton (16081674)
“Twenty or thirty years ago, in the army, we had a lot of obscure adventures, and years later we tell them at parties, and suddenly we realize that those two very difficult years of our lives have become lumped together into a few episodes that have lodged in our memory in a standardized form, and are always told in a standardized way, in the same words. But in fact that lump of memories has nothing whatsoever to do with our experience of those two years in the army and what it has made of us.”
—Václav Havel (b. 1936)
