Boobies and Gannets
Order: Pelecaniformes. Family: Sulidae
The sulids comprise the gannets and boobies. Both groups are medium-large coastal seabirds that plunge-dive for fish. In North Carolina, three species have been recorded.

- Brown Booby, Sula leucogaster
- Northern Gannet, Morus bassanus
