• "Three Finger" = Mordecai Brown, American starting pitcher Nickname given due to the fact that he only had three fingers on his pitching hand (not counting his thumb). Injuries were result of a farming accident as a child.

• "Tip" = James O'Neill, Canadian baseball player
• "Tinker to Evers to Chance" = Famous Chicago Cubs double-play combination of shortstop Joe Tinker, second baseman Johnny Evers, and first baseman Frank Chance. The combination was immortalized after the 1908 National League Championship series in which the Cubs beat the New York Giants in five games to go on to play in the World Series. One of two famous double play combinations in the Cub organization (the other being Shawon Dunston, Ryne Sandberg, and Mark Grace).
