Snow
PC Plum pops into the nursery to see Miss Hoolie. He is worried about Mrs McLeod. She doesn't get out much. PC Plum wonders what he could do to bring winter magic into her home, so Miss Hoolie tells him to go and see Spencer. He's always full of ideas. As usual, Spencer is a big help. He shows PC Plum how to make snowflake pictures using paper doilies as stencils. The pictures are lovely, but PC Plum decides it would be even better if he could turn Mrs McLeod's house into a real winter wonderland. He needs a snow machine to do that, so he goes to Archie's castle. Archie invents a fabulous snow machine. Next, PC Plum and Archie go to visit Mrs McLeod. They help her grandchildren decorate her house with snow and they even make a snowman.

Famous quotes containing the word snow:
“You have to make more noise than anybody else, you have to make yourself more obtrusive than anybody else, you have to fill all the papers more than anybody else, in fact you have to be there all the time and see that they do not snow you under, if you are really going to get your reform realized.”
—Emmeline Pankhurst (18581928)
“The snow had begun in the gloaming,
And busily all the night
Had been heaping field and highway
With a silence deep and white.”
—James Russell Lowell (18191891)
“Physical force has no value, where there is nothing else. Snow in snow-banks, fire in volcanoes and solfataras is cheap. The luxury of ice is in tropical countries, and midsummer days. The luxury of fire is, to have a little on our hearth; and of electricity, not the volleys of the charged cloud, but the manageable stream on the battery-wires. So of spirit, or energy; the rests or remains of it in the civil and moral man, are worth all the cannibals in the Pacific.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
