Ice Skating
Josie is going to the mainland to go ice-skating and wants to borrow a CD to listen to while skating. She goes to see Archie who gives her a CD player she could wear on her belt and makes her musical earmuffs so she could have music while skating. Josie wants to try figure-skating, so she visits Spencer who teaches her all about the shapes she can make as she skates. Then Josie and Spencer are ice-skating on the mainland and have a very slippery time of it.

Famous quotes containing the words ice and/or skating:
“He was high and mighty. But the kindest creature to his slavesand the unfortunate results of his bad ways were not sold, had not to jump over ice blocks. They were kept in full view and provided for handsomely in his will. His wife and daughters in the might of their purity and innocence are supposed never to dream of what is as plain before their eyes as the sunlight, and they play their parts of unsuspecting angels to the letter.”
—Anonymous Antebellum Confederate Women. Previously quoted by Mary Boykin Chesnut in Mary Chesnuts Civil War, edited by C. Vann Woodward (1981)
“Good writing is a kind of skating which carries off the performer where he would not go, and is only right admirable when to all its beauty and speed a subserviency to the will, like that of walking, is added.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
