Fun Fair
Archie needs to go to the funfair to give his friend who works there some sugar for his candy floss. He borrows the sugar from Miss Hoolie. He has some tickets for the fair, and offers to take some of the nursery children, but he is afraid to go on the rides himself. Miss Hoolie suggests that Josie Jump might be able to help him. She succeeds, but Archie's sugar has been spoilt by the rain. He buys some more from Pocket & Sweet's, then it's all the fun of the fair. Archie has free tickets for the fun fair, but he's afraid to go on the rides, Josie Jump and others arrive to the fairground rides. Archie gets free tickets to the fun fair but is afraid to go on any of the rides.

Famous quotes containing the words fun and/or fair:
“... hes helpless
In ways that I can hardly tell you of.
Sometimes he gets possessed to keep accounts
To see where all the money goes so fast.
You know how men will be ridiculous.
But its just fun the way he gets bedeviled
If hes untidy now, what will he be?”
—Robert Frost (18741963)
“But hospitality must be for service, and not for show, or it pulls down the host. The brave soul rates itself too high to value itself by the splendor of its table and draperies. It gives what it hath, and all it hath, but its own majesty can lend a better grace to bannocks and fair water than belong to city feasts.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
