American Foundation For AIDS Research
The American Foundation for AIDS Research (AmfAR) is an international non-profit organization dedicated to the support of AIDS research, HIV prevention, treatment education, and the advocacy of sound AIDS-related public policy. Madonna was honored with the foundation's Award of Courage in 1991, for her charitable works to fight against AIDS.
