  • December 16: A US OH-58 Kiowa crashes north of Shindand, in Afghanistan's Herat province, injuring its two pilots.
  • October 20: HH-60 Pave Hawk N87-26014 crashes during a med-evac injuring four on board and killing Jesse Samek.
  • August 29: A Dutch AH-64D Apache, designation Q-20, crashes near Kabul, slightly injuring one crew member.
  • August 12: UH-60 Black Hawk crashes in Khost province, killing one soldier and injuring fourteen.
  • June 28:The crew of an AH-64DApache helicopter escaped with minor injuries after being forced to make an emergency landing north of Qalat. The aircraft caught on fire and was completely destroyed.
