Television
This is a list of anime television series by episode count for series with a minimum of 100 episodes. Note that anime franchises with multiple television series (e.g. Sailor Moon) will not be listed on this page. However anime in Japan has a somewhat misleading practice of naming seasons as if they are NOT a part of the original series. e.g. Sailor Moon etc. This Article will only cover series without distinct arc/season names. pokemon

Famous quotes containing the word television:
“In full view of his television audience, he preached a new religionor a new form of Christianitybased on faith in financial miracles and in a Heaven here on earth with a water slide and luxury hotels. It was a religion of celebrity and showmanship and fun, which made a mockery of all puritanical standards and all canons of good taste. Its standard was excess, and its doctrines were tolerance and freedom from accountability.”
—New Yorker (April 23, 1990)
“It is marvelous indeed to watch on television the rings of Saturn close; and to speculate on what we may yet find at galaxys edge. But in the process, we have lost the human element; not to mention the high hope of those quaint days when flight would create one world. Instead of one world, we have star wars, and a future in which dumb dented human toys will drift mindlessly about the cosmos long after our small planets dead.”
—Gore Vidal (b. 1925)
“Television ... helps blur the distinction between framed and unframed reality. Whereas going to the movies necessarily entails leaving ones ordinary surroundings, soap operas are in fact spatially inseparable from the rest of ones life. In homes where television is on most of the time, they are also temporally integrated into ones real life and, unlike the experience of going out in the evening to see a show, may not even interrupt its regular flow.”
—Eviatar Zerubavel, U.S. sociologist, educator. The Fine Line: Making Distinctions in Everyday Life, ch. 5, University of Chicago Press (1991)
