  • January 23 - Kirby Chambliss crashed his Zivko Edge 540 due to an engine failure. It happened while he was exiting a formation high alpha pass while practicing for the weekend's Ilopango Air Show at the Ilopango International Airport in San Salvador, El Salvador. The pilot is alive and well with only bumps and bruises after the forced landing. The airplane is a total loss.
  • March 17 - Roger Stokes who was flying a Supermarine Spitfire Mk 26, an 80% scale home-build replica of the Supermarine Spitfire died when it crashed into a fence between two businesses in a commercial area on Frost Road in the near by suburb of Salisbury, whilst completing a routine at the Classic Jets Original Parafield Airshow at Parafield Airport in Parafield, South Australia.
  • April 7 - First Lieutenant Rafael Sanchez and Second Lieutenant Carlos Manuel Guerrero crashed an ENAER T-35 Pillán while participating in the Show Aéreo del Caribe in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The plane pulled up and rolled inverted, but failed to recover from the dive following the maneuver. The pilot rolled upright, and the aircraft impacted the water. Both pilots are dead.
