Red Sybolt was introduced by veteran Science Fiction writer K. D. Wentworth in the "The Three R's" where he aids an emissary of Comenius of the Moravian Church. He appears as a brief referenced party recommended to Morris Roth in Flint's "The Wallenstein Gambit", and that early plotting finally began fruiting in the long awaited Eastern European Thread in The Anaconda Project.
