Graduation Requirements

The Line Mountain School board requires that each student earn 29 credits to graduate including: 4 credits of English, 4 credits of Social Studies, 4 credits of Mathematics, 4 credits of Science, 4 credits of Physical Education, 3 credits of Health and safety, 1 credit humanities, 1 credit Technology and 5 credits in electives

By law, all Pennsylvania secondary school students must complete a project as a part of their eligibility to graduate from high school. The type of project, its rigor and its expectations are set by the individual school district. Students at LMSD receive 1 credit towards graduation when they successfully complete the graduation project.

According to Pennsylvania School Board regulations, for the graduating classes of 2016, students must demonstrate successful completion of secondary level course work in Algebra I, Biology, English Composition, and Literature for which the Keystone Exams serve as the final course exams. Students’ Keystone Exam scores shall count for at least one-third of the final course grade.
