Line Mountain Jr./Sr. High School - Extracurriculars

Extracurriculars

The district offers a variety of clubs, activities and sports. The Line Mountain School Board determines eligibility policies to participate in these programs. This includes abiding by the Line Mountain Athletic Department Code of Conduct.

In 2011, the school district administration filed a complaint against a former wrestler, whose family had moved to another school district, in the CSIU16 region. The high school administration denied the student the ability to wrestle in the 2011-12 season. The student appealed the denial to the District wrestling board of the PIAA. The appeal was lost.

By Pennsylvania law, all K-12 students in the district, including those who attend a private nonpublic school, cyber charter school, charter school and those homeschooled, are eligible to participate in the extracurricular programs including all athletics. They must meet the same eligibility rules as the students enrolled in the district's schools.
