Lincoln Christian School - Core Values

Core Values

The Lincoln Christian School family believes in:

  • A God-Centered Focus. God must be first in everything we do. All of the school’s operations must be conducted in a manner that brings glory to God—guided and empowered by the Holy Spirit through prayer and steadfast obedience to God’s Word.
  • A Biblical Emphasis. All instruction and activities must be centered on God’s Word, challenging each student to develop a thorough understanding of the Word and encouraging a deep, personal relationship with the Creator.
  • A Family Orientation. The school complements the educational responsibilities of the home and the church and encourages all school families to be actively involved
  • Academic Excellence. A Christian education requires rigorous academic standards as well as continuous evaluation and improvement.
  • Responsible Stewardship. The school must use the resources God provides effectively and efficiently.

Famous quotes containing the words core and/or values:

    The threadbare trees, so poor and thin,
    They are no wealthier than I;
    But with as brave a core within
    They rear their boughs to the October sky.
    Poor knights they are which bravely wait
    The charge of Winter’s cavalry,
    Keeping a simple Roman state,
    Discumbered of their Persian luxury.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

    If the Russians have gone too far in subjecting the child and his peer group to conformity to a single set of values imposed by the adult society, perhaps we have reached the point of diminishing returns in allowing excessive autonomy and in failing to utilize the constructive potential of the peer group in developing social responsibility and consideration for others.
    Urie Bronfenbrenner (b. 1917)
