Liga Sudamericana

The Liga Sudamericana (Portuguese: Liga Sul-Americana, English: South American League) is the second most important South American basketball tournament at club level, the first being the FIBA Americas League. It is organized by the South American Basketball Confederation.

The league usually includes domestic champions, and some runner-ups, from the leading countries. Depending on the country, places may be awarded on the basis of performance in the previous season's domestic league or over the previous two or three domestic seasons. The tournament is played since 1996, with 2003 being the only year in which it was not held.
