Structure and Details
The four tracks on Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven are composed of individually named internal movements. The whole album is instrumental, except for sampled voice inserts.
The inner panels of the vinyl edition released by Constellation contain a diagram used to illustrate the relative lengths of movements within the four tracks; each movement is drawn, by Efrim Menuck, as a rectangular block with its length determined by the proportion of the track it comprises. Some of the blocks are shifted slightly upwards to show an increase in intensity. The movement title and the numerical length are denoted either above or below the square. The same diagram is provided as a paper insert in the CD edition from Kranky.
The interior covers of the CD feature art by the Rhode Island-based William Schaff. The double vinyl edition presents the same art, but on the sleeves instead. The flip side contains various images taken by the band.

Famous quotes containing the words structure and, structure and/or details:
“Slumism is the pent-up anger of people living on the outside of affluence. Slumism is decay of structure and deterioration of the human spirit. Slumism is a virus which spreads through the body politic. As other isms, it breeds disorder and demagoguery and hate.”
—Hubert H. Humphrey (19111978)
“Im a Sunday School teacher, and Ive always known that the structure of law is founded on the Christian ethic that you shall love the Lord your God and your neighbor as yourselfa very high and perfect standard. We all know the fallibility of man, and the contentions in society, as described by Reinhold Niebuhr and many others, dont permit us to achieve perfection.”
—Jimmy Carter (James Earl Carter, Jr.)
“Then he told the news media
the strange details of his death
and they hammered him up in the marketplace
and sold him and sold him and sold him.
My death the same.”
—Anne Sexton (19281974)
