The Library Today
According to the library’s annual report for 2008, the library circulated a total of 111,486 items. Of the 79,599 cataloged books that circulated 35,011 were adult fiction books, 15,579 adult non-fiction, 24,180 children’s fiction and 4,829 children’s non-fiction. Audiovisual materials contributed another 31,887 to the overall total.
The library had an overall attendance of 8,213 for 394 programs held at the library during 2008.
The Friends of the Lewiston Public Library support the library through a series of fundraisers held throughout the year.
