Mr. Aleksishvili was elected as a Chairman of UN Commission for Sustainable development in 2005-2006 (http://www.un.org/esa/dsd/csd/csd_csd14_bureau.shtml). During his chairmanship, the 14th session of the UN CSD focused on progress in the areas: Energy for Sustainable Development, Climate Change, Air Pollution, and Industrial Development.
