Format

The two Divisions are constituted on merit, with the best teams in Division One.

Ten teams compete in the Division One and Two. Each team plays the other teams in the Division twice on a home and away basis. The winner is the team with the most points at the end of the season. If two or more teams are tied on the same points total, then one or more test matches take place. The winner of the test matches are declared league winners.

There is promotion and relegation between the two Divisions. The bottom team in Division One is automatically relegated and replaced by the top team from Division Two. The second bottom team in Division One plays off with the runner up in Division Two for the right to play in the top division in the following season.
