Name Change
In November 2010 the Brisbane City Council has revealed that the Northern Link will be named Legacy Way in honour of the men and women serving in the Australian Defence Force. One cent of every toll (equating to $5.5 million over the lifetime of the road) will go to Legacy Australia, an Australian volunteer organisation caring for the families of deceased and incapacitated veterans, including the families of fallen Australian Defence Force personnel.
