Lectromec - History

History

Lectromec was originally founded in 1984 by Dr. Armin Bruning and initially worked with the United States Navy to evaluate problems with the wiring on several of its aircraft. As the company has grown, Lectromec has worked with a diverse host of customers including: foreign and domestic militaries, private sector businesses, wire manufacturers, government agencies and the media. As the aging wire issue became more visible and increasingly critical, Lectromec has responded by offering solutions to help minimize wiring related problems.

Personnel from Lectromec were among the experts that were called before the United States Congress to testify about the fatal accident involving TWA 800 and brought to the attention of the representatives how damaging flawed wire on aircraft could be.

Lectromec has more than twenty years of experience consulting and testing wiring for the aerospace industry. Today, Lectromec boasts a diverse staff versed in all of the disciplines critical to wire testing, evaluation, and risk assessment. With a number of wire related patents, Lectromec is on the forefront of wire maintenance technology with developments in the fields of Electrical Wire Interconnection Systems (EWIS) on aircraft.

Famous quotes containing the word history:

Bias, point of view, fury—are they ... so dangerous and must they be ironed out of history, the hills flattened and the contours leveled? The professors talk ... about passion and point of view in history as a Calvinist talks about sin in the bedroom.
    Catherine Drinker Bowen (1897–1973)

The history of men’s opposition to women’s emancipation is more interesting perhaps than the story of that emancipation itself.
    Virginia Woolf (1882–1941)

The history of this country was made largely by people who wanted to be left alone. Those who could not thrive when left to themselves never felt at ease in America.
    Eric Hoffer (1902–1983)
