Goals
The League advocates the "right of autonomous decisions about fundamental affairs of Vojvodina within Serbia", which, according to the League, was abolished after the so-called Yogurt Revolution in 1988 and after constitutional changes from 1990, which, according to the League, diminished the autonomy of Vojvodina to "protocolar minimum".
In December 1998, League proclaimed that its political goal is establishment of the Republic of Vojvodina within federalized Serbia. In recent years, the League mostly abandoned the idea about Republic of Vojvodina, but it still advocating larger level of autonomy for the province. In November 2011, the party official of the League, Aleksandra Jerkov, stated that "Vojvodina needs more jurisdictions", but that "there is no need for it to be a republic".

Famous quotes containing the word goals:
“If people would forget about utopia! When rationalism destroyed heaven and decided to set it up here on earth, that most terrible of all goals entered human ambition. It was clear thered be no end to what people would be made to suffer for it.”
—Nadine Gordimer (b. 1923)
“Let us beware of saying there are laws in nature. There are only necessities: there is no one to command, no one to obey, no one to transgress. When you realize there are no goals or objectives, then you realize, too, that there is no chance: for only in a world of objectives does the word chance have any meaning.”
—Friedrich Nietzsche (18441900)
“Whoever sincerely believes that elevated and distant goals are as little use to man as a cow, that all of our problems come from such goals, is left to eat, drink, sleep, or, when he gets sick of that, to run up to a chest and smash his forehead on its corner.”
—Anton Pavlovich Chekhov (18601904)
