LC Circuit - Series LC Circuit

Series LC Circuit

In the series configuration of the LC circuit, the inductor L and capacitor C are connected in series, as shown here. The total voltage v across the open terminals is simply the sum of the voltage across the inductor and the voltage across the capacitor. The current i flowing into the positive terminal of the circuit is equal to the current flowing through both the capacitor and the inductor.

Famous quotes containing the words series and/or circuit:

Personality is an unbroken series of successful gestures.
    F. Scott Fitzgerald (1896–1940)

We are all hostages, and we are all terrorists. This circuit has replaced that other one of masters and slaves, the dominating and the dominated, the exploiters and the exploited.... It is worse than the one it replaces, but at least it liberates us from liberal nostalgia and the ruses of history.
    Jean Baudrillard (b. 1929)
