Lazer Tag Academy - Home Video and Syndication

Home Video and Syndication

Three VHS tapes were released by Celebrity Home Entertainment. Laser Tag Academy: The Movie was released in 1989, followed by a March 21, 1989 release of a purported 'sequel', Lazer Tag Academy: Champion's Biggest Challenge, both presumably with episodes edited together into 95 and 110 minute 'movies'. The third tape was released on June 19, 1991 with a single episode, The Battle Hymn of the Jarens.

Lazer Tag Academy was later rerun in syndication under the name Laser Patrol. This version was also shown briefly on the Sci-Fi Channel.

Famous quotes containing the words home and/or video:

Many people will say to working mothers, in effect, “I don’t think you can have it all.” The phrase for “have it all” is code for “have your cake and eat it too.” What these people really mean is that achievement in the workplace has always come at a price—usually a significant personal price; conversely, women who stayed home with their children were seen as having sacrificed a great deal of their own ambition for their families.
    Anne C. Weisberg (20th century)

It is among the ranks of school-age children, those six- to twelve-year-olds who once avidly filled their free moments with childhood play, that the greatest change is evident. In the place of traditional, sometimes ancient childhood games that were still popular a generation ago, in the place of fantasy and make- believe play . . . today’s children have substituted television viewing and, most recently, video games.
