Laurel Kenner (born in California in 1954) is principal of Latimer Trading Co., a financial trading firm in New York City.
Her commentaries on financial markets have appeared on CNBC Money, worldlyinvestor.com, and TheStreet.com. She co-authored the book Practical Speculation (John Wiley & Sons, 2003) with Victor Niederhoffer.
During the period 1989-1994, she was an award-winning aerospace reporter for Copley Los Angeles Newspapers. Subsequently, from 1995 to 2000, she was chief US stocks editor at Bloomberg News.
She holds a bachelor's degree in piano from the University of California, Los Angeles, and plays chamber music.
Laurel Kenner is the mother of Aubrey Darwin Niederhoffer, born in 2006.
