Latex Generation

Latex Generation is a New York, USA punk rock band that formed in the early 1990s. The band's name was inspired by a news report that spoke of the current generation of teens regarding the threat of STDs and the AIDS epidemic came on the radio. The name has also been said to be a play on words as the "Late X Generation" because the members all fall age-wise at the tail end of Generation X. The band are also referred to as "L8XG" or just "LG".

Over the years, Latex Generation has released 2 full-length CDs, 3 7" records, a number of compilation album contributions and have toured extensively throughout North America, Europe, and Australia - most notably on the Van's Warped Tour.

Famous quotes containing the word generation:

Our chaotic economic situation has convinced so many of our young people that there is no room for them. They become uncertain and restless and morbid; they grab at false promises, embrace false gods and judge things by treacherous values. Their insecurity makes them believe that tomorrow doesn’t matter and the ineffectualness of their lives makes them deny the ideals which we of an older generation acknowledged.
    Hortense Odlum (1892–?)
