Main Towns

There are still some people living in about 40 traditional alquerías scattered through the region, like Las Mestas. The main towns in Las Hurdes are:

  • Caminomorisco
  • Casares de las Hurdes
  • Ladrillar
  • Nuñomoral
  • Pinofranqueado

Casar de Palomero is historically not part of Las Hurdes, but has been merged with the other municipalities of the comarca to form the Mancomunidad de Las Hurdes.
