Ladislav Adamec

Ladislav Adamec (September 10, 1926 in Frenštát pod Radhoštěm - April 14, 2007 in Prague) was a Czechoslovak Communist political figure. Upon the retirement of Prime Minister Lubomír Štrougal in October 1988, Adamec assumed the role, thus serving as the last Communist prime minister of Czechoslovakia. He served from October 12, 1988 to December 7, 1989. Adamec had previously been the Prime Minister of the Czech Socialist Republic from 1987 to 1988.
