KTLA-TV

KTLA is the CW-affiliated television station in Los Angeles, California. It broadcasts a high definition digital signal on UHF channel 31 (virtual channel 5.1 via PSIP) from a transmitter atop Mount Wilson. Owned by Tribune Company (this arrangement places the station under the same ownership as the Los Angeles Times), KTLA maintains offices at the Sunset Bronson Studios on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. Syndicated programs seen on this station include Maury, Friends, Two and a Half Men and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

KTLA was the first commercially-licensed television station in the western United States, having begun operations in 1947. Although not as widespread in national carriage as its Chicago sister station WGN-TV, KTLA is available as a superstation throughout North America via Dish Network and on Ku-band and C-band satellite systems, as well as on cable providers in select cities within the southwestern United States and throughout Canada.
