Kovvur is an assembly constituency in Andhra Pradesh. It is considered as strong hold of TDP which won all the election battles here since its inception in 1983 except in 1999 when congress won with sufficient majority. There are 1,68,312 registered voters in Kovvur constituency in 1999 elections.
