Kosher Tax (antisemitic Canard)
The "Kosher tax" (or "Jewish tax") is a canard or urban legend spread by antisemitic, white supremacist and other extremist organizations. They state that unwilling food companies and unwitting consumers are forced to pay money to Jewish organizations to support Zionist causes and Israel.
Food companies actively seek kosher certification to increase market share and profitability. Consumers who prefer kosher foods include not only Jews, but Muslims, Seventh-day Adventists, and others. The fees collected support the food supervising organizations themselves, not other causes.

Famous quotes containing the word tax:
“Rumble thy bellyful! Spit, fire! Spout, rain!
Nor rain, wind, thunder, fire are my daughters.
I tax you not, you elements, with unkindness;
I never gave you kingdom, called you children.”
