Music

Melody of the Sun and Sea included two new theme songs. "Chiisa na Brilliant" (小さなブリリアント, Chīsa na Buririanto?) was sung by Kaori and written by Chiyomaru Shikura and "Taiyō to Umi no Melody" (太陽と海のメロディ, Taiyō to Umi no Merodi?) was sung by Ayane and composed by Narucho. The anime adaptation's opening theme, "Kono Aozora ni Yakusoku o" (この青空に約束を?), was also sung by Kaori and the ending theme, "Aozora no Fantasia" (青空のファンタジア, Aozora no Fantajia?), was sung by Ayumi Murata.

Famous quotes containing the word music:

During the cattle drives, Texas cowboy music came into national significance. Its practical purpose is well known—it was used primarily to keep the herds quiet at night, for often a ballad sung loudly and continuously enough might prevent a stampede. However, the cowboy also sang because he liked to sing.... In this music of the range and trail is “the grayness of the prairies, the mournful minor note of a Texas norther, and a rhythm that fits the gait of the cowboy’s pony.”
—Administration in the State of Texa, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)

Nearly all the bands are mustered out of service; ours therefore is a novelty. We marched a few miles yesterday on a road where troops have not before marched. It was funny to see the children. I saw our boys running after the music in many a group of clean, bright-looking, excited little fellows.
    Rutherford Birchard Hayes (1822–1893)

I think sometimes, could I only have music on my own terms; could I live in a great city and know where I could go whenever I wished the ablution and inundation of musical waves,—that were a bath and a medicine.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
