People and Culture
The population of KGF is cosmopolitan, including Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Marwari, Urdu and Anglo Indian populations. The Tamil population is mostly associated with the Gold Mines as also the Telugu population. Apart from this KGF also has a population that is representative of the rest of Kolar district being primarily Kannada and Telugu speaking.
