Koenigsegg CC8S - Development

Development

The CC8S started off as the CC prototype. Despite very limited resources, the chassis, suspension, brakes, wishbones uprights and many other items where all custom designed for the car by Koenigseggs small team. The car was very original and got a lot of attention but in order to test the waters, Koenigsegg decided to bring the CC prototype to the Cannes Film Festival in 1997. The reaction to the car was favorable and the first international contacts were taken. The automaker felt assured and pushed onwards to reach production and just five years later, in 2002, Koenigsegg began series production of the CC8S model.

Famous quotes containing the word development:

I have an intense personal interest in making the use of American capital in the development of China an instrument for the promotion of the welfare of China, and an increase in her material prosperity without entanglements or creating embarrassment affecting the growth of her independent political power, and the preservation of her territorial integrity.
    William Howard Taft (1857–1930)

The Cairo conference ... is about a complicated web of education and employment, consumption and poverty, development and health care. It is also about whether governments will follow where women have so clearly led them, toward safe, simple and reliable choices in family planning. While Cairo crackles with conflict, in the homes of the world the orthodoxies have been duly heard, and roundly ignored.
    Anna Quindlen (b. 1952)

And then ... he flung open the door of my compartment, and ushered in “Ma young and lovely lady!” I muttered to myself with some bitterness. “And this is, of course, the opening scene of Vol. I. She is the Heroine. And I am one of those subordinate characters that only turn up when needed for the development of her destiny, and whose final appearance is outside the church, waiting to greet the Happy Pair!”
Lewis Carroll [Charles Lutwidge Dodgson] (1832–1898)
