Knox and Kane Railroad

The Knox and Kane Railroad (K&K) was a short-line railroad in Pennsylvania that operated between Knox, in Clarion County, to Kane and then on to Mount Jewett, in McKean County.

Famous quotes containing the words knox, kane and/or railroad:

Death is an incident producing clay. Use it, mold it, learn from it.
John Gilling, British screenwriter. Dr. Knox (Peter Cushing)

Was I in here last night and did I spend a twenty dollar bill? What a load that is off my mind! I thought I’d lost it!
—Mahatma Kane Jeeves, U.S. screenwriter, and Eddie Cline. Egbert Sousé (W.C. Fields)

... no other railroad station in the world manages so mysteriously to cloak with compassion the anguish of departure and the dubious ecstasies of return and arrival. Any waiting room in the world is filled with all this, and I have sat in many of them and accepted it, and I know from deliberate acquaintance that the whole human experience is more bearable at the Gare de Lyon in Paris than anywhere else.
    M.F.K. Fisher (1908–1992)
