Kirtlington Park is licensed to hold civil weddings. There is a polo club in the park at Kirtlington Park Farm, plus a polo school that opened in 1994.

Kirtlington has a 19th-century public house, the Oxford Arms, and a Grade II listed hotel, the Dashwood Hotel and Restaurant. The village has a sub-post office and village store.

Kirtlington has a Women's Institute. Kirtlington Golf Club is about 0.6 miles (1 km) southwest of the village. Kirtlington Football Club play behind the village hall.

The nearest railway station is Tackley on the Cherwell Valley Line, 1 mile (1.6 km) from Kirtlington. Heyfordian Travel bus routes 25 and 25A (Oxford–Bicester via Bletchingdon) serve Kirtlington.

The A4095 road passes through the village, as do the Oxfordshire Way long-distance footpath and the Oxfordshire Cycleway. Junction 9 of the M40 motorway is about 3 miles (5 km) east of the village.
